Treatment methods based on research

SiS is charged with delivering knowledge-based care and treatment. We therefore monitor Swedish and international research in the field and continuously review our methods of treatment.

SiS carries out development projects of its own and funds research conducted by independent researchers at universities and other higher education institutions. SiS has a scientific council made up of representatives of different academic disciplines, whose responsibilities include helping the agency to review and assess research applications.
